Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Photo Relato is an iPhone, iPad and Mac app for recording spoken stories over the photos in your Apple Photos library. It is built to work with your Apple Photos and your own iCloud account and nothing else. This policy explains what the app handles and where it lives.

Questions? Email photorelato@bladon.ca. It goes straight to a real person. Emailing us is separate from the app, which never sends anything on your behalf.

The short version

What Photo Relato handles

Where your information is stored

Your photos and recordings live in Apple Photos. Your stories and transcripts are stored in the app and, if you use iCloud, synced between your devices through your own iCloud account using Apple’s technology. Photo Relato does not have a copy, and there is no Photo Relato server.

What touches the network

Photo Relato does not send your content to us or to any third party. The only network activity is Apple’s own: iCloud sync for your stories, iCloud Photos downloading originals that are stored only in your iCloud, and App Store purchases. These are governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

Your controls

Subscriptions

Photo Relato offers an optional “Photo Relato Pro” upgrade, as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple manages the purchase and your payment details; Photo Relato never sees your payment information.

Children

Photo Relato is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. The app collects no data off your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change, and the current version will be available at this URL.
